CAPCOG begins outreach for criminal justice grant season

CAPCOG will kick off the region’s criminal justice grant process with two stakeholder meetings — an in-person meeting at CAPCOG at 10 a.m. October 13 and a virtual meeting at 10 a.m. October 14. The meetings will provide input for determining the funding priorities for the five grant opportunities which CAPCOG helps the Office of the Governor administer.

“Stakeholder participation in these early meetings is valuable as the input helps select the priorities that direct how grant applications are scored,” said Ken May, CAPCOG regional programs coordinator. “It also gives the applicants some early insight into preparing their application.”

CAPCOG has developed a tentative schedule for the grant process, which includes dates for mandatory workshops, the Office of the Governor release of the requests for applications, and application deadlines. The schedule and more details about the criminal justice grant process to include a list of the funding opportunities and RSVP’ing for meetings and workshops will be posted at capcog.org/what-we-do/funding-grants/criminal-justice/. Previous and interested applicants should contact May to ensure they will receive email updates about the criminal justice grants throughout the application scoring process.
