CAPCOG celebrates 50 years at General Assembly Meeting

Join CAPCOG in celebrating its 50th anniversary during its upcoming online General Assembly Meeting on September 9th. The meeting will feature a history of CAPCOG that examines the original programs as well as new initiatives added ranging from 9-1-1 in 1987 to homeland security planning after 9/11.

During the meeting, General Assembly representatives also will adopt the 2020-21 Fiscal Year Budget and elect a Nominating Committee, which evaluates self-nominated city and county elected officials for the 2021 CAPCOG Executive Committee and recommends members to the General Assembly in December. The proposed FY 2020-21 budget provides for $34.1 million in expenditures that cover all program operating costs and includes increased funding in response to COVID-19 for services to seniors and assisting communities with resiliency planning.

General Assembly Representatives can RSVP.
