CAPCOG seeks Air Quality Award nominations

The CAPCOG Air Quality Program seeks nominations of people and organizations that have made significant impacts to the region’s air quality for its 2020 Air Central Texas Awards. The deadline to submit a nomination is October 7.

Since 2016, the program and the Central Texas Clean Air Coalition have recognized those who have made outstanding contributions to improving air quality throughout the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown Metropolitan Statistical Area and helped keep the region in attainment of the national ozone standards.

This year the program is seeking nominations for two awards. The Air Central Texas Outstanding Organization Award recognizes an activity by an organization that has exhibited exceptional leadership on regional air quality issues within the past year. The Bill Gill Central Texas Air Quality Leadership Award honors an individual who has contributed a significant and lasting impact on Central Texas’ air quality.
