TCEQ opens $6.2 million school bus grant opportunity

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is accepting applications for the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP) Texas Clean School Bus Program, which has $6.2 million available in grant funds. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Dec. 17, 2020 or until all the funding has been awarded.

Buses being replaced must be a pre-2007 model year and a bus proposed for purchase must be of the current or previous model year at the time the application is submitted. Applicants must own the bus for at least two years at the time of application, and the bus must currently be registered for operation in Texas.
