This four-hour course covers the legal definition of a dangerous canine, Texas requirements for notifying the owner of the animal, where to find information about dangerous canines and how to read a dog’s body language. The Canine Encounters course is designed to meet law enforcement officers’ educational requirements as established by legislature in HB 593.

This course also meets Out of State Law Enforcement persons trying to obtain a TCOLE license.

Course is being offered on same day as Interaction with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Drivers
